Trujillo’s blood is still alive and running. He was not satisfied with ruling the Dominican Republic and converting it into a totalitarian country, now after his natural death his son is in power. The Dominican Republic is one of the most respected islands because of their violent way of solving things. Junior Trujillo was now in charge of keeping the legacy of his father. He even wanted to change the name of the country to Trujillo Republic. People went against the idea and of course they got killed. The country in terms of the economy is doing well. We have twice the GDP per capita we had before, but there is still no freedom for the people.

Junior Trujillo has been an influence to other small island convincing them to trade their goods at a low price. The other countries agreed to it because if they didn’t they would get exterminated. A typical in our country would be: Waking up at 8 in the morning getting ready because at 8:30 everyone had to be outside singing the “great” anthem that Junior Trujillo wrote. Since we are in modern times every house in Trujillo Republic had a camera inside to check if they followed every order president Trujillo ask for. This was horrifying because every step and every word citizens of the Trujillo Republic did or say was being recorded and sent to the department of citizen’s behavior.

Now people are not able to express their concerns, questions of why he does what he does or even their feelings. People are taken advantage of, tourism has decreased a lot because they are scared they might get kidnapped or even killed in their trips.
